Matilda Life is committed to sustainability and we will continue to work hard to ensure we are doing the right thing. Here's what we are doing so far:
We are not using any plastic. Our product will be shipped to you in compostable boxes wrapped in tissue paper.
Our shoe leather is mostly kangaroo skin, a bi-product of the meat industry which would otherwise end up as landfill. We are using some calf from Italy in our boots as the Australian calf was too stiff to be suitable for boots.
Our cotton is 100% organic (Global Organic Textile Standard).
Our manufacturing is in Australia therefore a reduced supply chain and lower carbon footprint.
Our swing tag clip seals are made of corn flour, organic cotton string, and recyclable paper tags.
Our shipping boxes are compostable, so you can either put them into your green bin to be composted or you can put them into cardboard recycling.
